A person has a disability when presents a difficulty or inability to perform one or more activities of daily living, physical activity for these people is vital that’s why they need to maximize their damaged areas to compensate their deficiencies and be able to move in a better way.

Because these disabilities make impossible for some people to practice sports and compete in the same way as normal people, it created a category called “adapted sport” specifically for them.

Adapted sports are intended both to improve mobility, such as complete integration of the individual to society, and make it feel useful and fun.

In 1944, Ludwig Guttman was the first doctor who applied this unique sport to rehabilitate patients in the english hospital located in Stoke-Mandeville, he focused primarily on spinal cord injuries rehabilitation in addition to its previous medical treatment. It was not until 1960, when it starts to discuss a place for the disabled in the Olympics.
